Crazy? CHECK!

Each skein of Crazy is made with Stonehedge Fiber Mill's mill-ends, each skein is one-of-a-kind and totally irresistible.  While our knitters have made everything from hats and mitts to shawls and sweaters with it, right now they're having a ton of fun "shifting" with it, Andrea Mowry-Style.  Mix it with a solid to make a Shiftalong hat, pick three skeins to make your totally unique Shift cowl, or pick up an armload and knit up a Shifty sweater! Fiber Fun All Across Summit

Summit has some wonderful, fiber-filled cultural offerings happening tonight and over the next several months!

First, Yarn (the movie) is playing tonight at at 7pm Mondo courtesy of the Summit Film Society.  “Yarn” follows four artists as they blur the line between craft and art, bringing fibers onto the streets and into our lives.  We are delighted to be a part of this conversation and we hope to see you there!  Click here to learn more and buy your tickets online.

Additionally, a striking exhibit at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey called Painted Threads (detail pictured below) will be showing for the next handful of months.  Curator Mary Birmingham describes the exhibit as “a synergy between fine art and craft.”  You can learn more about this exhibit at the Visual Arts Center website an by clicking here.

We discuss these events in this week's blog - so click here to learn a little more - and make plans to see them for yourself!

Good Things Come In Small Packages,

Like These Wonderful New Needlepoint Canvases!

We have so many new needlepoint canvases at Wool & Grace, including some fabulous hand-painted canvases from small designers like Doolittle Stitchery and Bad Bitch Needlepoint.

Doolittle Stitchery brings us some travel ornaments from some of our favorite vacation spots, but little details like mopeds and dolphins jumping out of the water really make us swoon.  Click here to see all the canvases from Doolittle Stitchery.  The Bermuda Round (pictured above) is 4" round on 18 mesh canvas and is $80.

Meanwhile, Bad Bitch Needlepoint brings us some edgy canvases that will appeal to any hard-wired New Yorker.  While we know these little canvases would easily finish into the perfect ornaments for any city-lover, also consider finishing them into little zippered change pouches!

The Greek Coffee Cup measures approximately 3"x4.5" on 18 mesh canvas and is $65.  Click here to learn more and buy online.

Mini Metrocard measures approximately 2.75"x1.75" on 18 mesh canvas and is $35.  Click here to learn more and buy online!

Celebrate Sweata Weatha With Loopy Mango!

While Amy & Maya's "Sweata Weatha" SNL skit has been making the rounds on the internet, Oejong & Anna made a version of their own and it has us in stitches!  Do yourself a favor and check it out on Youtube by clicking here.  Then be sure to mark your calendars and join us for the Loopy Mango Book Signing and Trunk Show at Wool & Grace on October 26 from 12-4pm.

We asked them to reprise their "Sweata Weatha" roles on October 26 and they had an even better idea: a Loopy Mango Sweata Weatha Flash Mob!  Be sure to stop by to meet Oejong and Anna, get your book signed (you can buy it now) and join in the Sweata Weatha fun.  Wear your favorite Loopy Mango sweater or accessory and get ready for some instagram fame.  Patty and the Loopy Ladies will be voting on their Sweata Weatha Mobster.
