Gedifra's Metal Tweed

Metal Tweed is a new and fabulous yarn Italian brand Gedifra.  This Italian yarn producer makes sophisticated and distinctive yarns that effortlessly add character to your knitting.  Metal Tweed is a DK-weight blend of alpaca, acrylic, wool, cotton, nylon and polyester, with a tweedy texture and a hint of metallic.  It's so soft that you'll want to use it for everything from scarves and wraps to sweaters and mittens.  Each skein is 247 yards and $15.  Buy online here or stop by to see this beautiful yarn for yourself.  Also ask to see the Gedifra pattern book available in store!

Go Toe-Up!

We designed our new sock class so that you feel great about knitting your first pair of socks.  We don't want them to take forever to complete, and we want them to fit!

Our Worsted-Weight Toe Up Sock Class is a 3-part class for intermediate knitters ready to make their first pair of socks or improve their sock-knitting technique.  Using a worsted weight yarn will help you get through this project quickly, and we'll discuss how to get a great fit.

Participants must have experience with small circumference knitting in round and should be familiar with standard increases and decreases.  You will have a choice of your method of circular knitting including double points, double circulars or magic loop.

Class dates and times are:
October 6, 1-2:30pm

October 20, 1-2:30pm
November 3, 1-2:30pm

The class cost is $75.  Materials are purchased separately. Please use yarn purchased from Wool & Grace for this class.  To learn more or sign up online, click here

Clean and Sophisticated from
Brooklyn Tweed's Early Fall 2018 Collection

We are once again smitten with Brooklyn Tweed's new collection of patterns for Early Fall 2018.  Designs from Jared Flood, Julie Hoover, Norah Gaughan, Veronik Avery and Gundrun Johnston round out this clean and sophisticated group of patterns.  Inspired by the Japanese art of paper-folding, Brooklyn Tweed's worsted-spun yarns evoke this refined aesthetic beautifully.  Check out this week's blog to see why we love this new collection, and learn a little about the benefits of reading your knitting.
